The participants were students aged 14-17, teachers and staff of partner schools, IT and scientific labs assistants and experts.

The students were chosen from various classes according to the skills required to carry out the various steps of the project. On this way, each student had the chance to give his/her active contribution to the teamwork. We also included students that need to be re-motivated and stimulated in activities that are not traditionally present in the curricula so to discourage an eventual early school leaving.

As for the mobilities, students were selected according to their language level (English will be the main language for the project) among those with a higher scientific and literary competence in the project related areas. However, we also work with younger pupils who do research and build different instruments with the help of the first.

The teachers were chosen on the basis of the language skills and subject-related competences (English, Maths, Science, Astronomy, Philosophy, Drama) and CLIL methodology. Some members of the staff were involved in practical and financial management; the assistants coached students. When the schools had not got the necessary competences, experts were invited.

Apart from the students and the teachers who were actively involved in the Project, we also included students of other classes whose language skills may not be sufficient to handle the tasks in international teams. They were invited to join events that were carried out in their schools. During the international meetings they had the chance to attend some of the activities. Also, the students and the teachers of other schools, together with people involved in education and cultural organizations, benefited of the project related activities through their presence in the local community.
